Swipple Print

I just wrapped up designing a new poster for Swipple. It’s being used to promote two shows. One is at Max Fish in New York. That opens Sunday November 8 and runs through November. The other show is at Ever Gold in San Francisco. That’s opening December 10 and runs through December. If you find yourself in New York or San Francicso over the next couple months you sould really stop by and check out the show.

I’m also selling / trading some of the prints so drop me a line (ryanATryangroendykinfoDOTinfo) if you’d like to buy one. I’d probably sell them for, I don’t know… $20..? Something like that? They’re 19″ x 25″ screen printed posters and they’re signed on the back. And they’re super sweet. Here’s what it looks like:

Hello to you year 2009

Wow. Here we are again friends. You all feel so much closer to me and my heart in 2009. Well. How are things? Things are well with me.

This New Years Eve I had the privilege of going to a portion of the 24 Hour Puppet Show at the Dreamland. They ended up basing some of the shadow puppets on the illustrations I did for the flyer. It was awesome seeing things I drew come to life like that. Long story short the shadow puppets were all in the Demon Realm and they were trying to find the Magic Comb so they could cross over into the Human Realm. Swipple Show at Max Fish

I’ve currently got a piece in Swipple’s annual group exhibition at  Max Fish in New York. You can check out some images of the show here. It’s pretty exciting to be in a show with such an awesome group of artists! You should really take some time and check out some of the other artist’s work on Swipple. There’s some pretty unique stuff to be seen. Wish I could have made it out for the opening. Sounds like it was a blast!

They were also using some of my artwork on the promotional postcards and sold shirts I designed at the show. If you’re interested in picking up a shirt you can still get them on Swipple’s site here. In addition to getting a bad ass shirt you’ll sleep soundly knowing you helped a great online gallery by sending them some sweet sweet loot. WHAT A DEAL!!!
